SYNOPSIS:
Two small-time dope dealers stumble their way through one last score in this comedy from director Ulrik Imtiaz Rolfsen. Carl (Kristoffer Joner) and Robert (Nicolai Cleve Broch) are a pair of latter-day hippies who for the better part of a decade have been making a meager living as small-scale marijuana dealers. The two have long dreamed of giving up life in the city and buying some land where they can set up a commune, but as the Seventies are drawing to a close, the hippie dream isn't what it once was in Norway and they've never been able to raise the money. Carl and Robert are coming to the sad conclusion that dealing small bags at a modest markup to their friends doesn't have much of a future, and when the opportunity presents itself for them to move 45 kilos of high-quality smoke, it looks like a perfect chance to make good on their debts and get out of the business with a hefty nest egg. However, raising the money to buy the pot and then move it beyond their usual client base means going into business with the sort of people they've always avoided, including a crooked cop known to his friends as Stalin (Bjorn R. Sundquist), and Glen (Kare Conradi), an underground entrepreneur with a powerful taste for cocaine. Den siste revejakta (aka The Last Joint Venture) was based on the popular novel by Ingvar Ambjornsen.
