Plot:
"Back then friendships were simple. It's different today. Now you must follow a code that no one can really define", writes schoolgirl Sara in her essay about what the future looks like, and which she reads out to the class. She is praised by the teacher for it, which can't be said for lanky Mikkel. He just starts stammering about how he sees the future, alleging that he has written his text but the printer cartridge was empty, so he couldn't print it out... the boys going through puberty have their minds on quite different things than social studies or maths problems, whereby the condoms hanging in the branches are one of the more harmless jokes. The four teenagers Sara, Mikkel, Louise and Hassan are in the same class together. Like anywhere else in everyday school life, the same kind of power games go on as to who calls the shots within the peer group. But one day things get out of hand. First Louise is the victim, and then Sara. She is provoked by Mikkel, who is spurred on by his schoolmates. The scuffle ends in a simulated rape. Louise films the scene with her handy camera. "Now you’re a porn star" wisecracks one of Mikkel’s friends. But when the wobbly mobile film begins circulating on the mobile phones of the pupils and who knows who else on the Internet, then the victim, and the guilty people, become real. This fact changes the lives of the four young people, who have not even found their own place in life, for ever. None of them will ever return to the carefree life that they led before, in this compactly staged and oppressive film about school violence. Whether their parents, who in the main react helplessly, can help them cope with this situation, appears to be more than questionable.
